Letter to Future OSIS Team, From: 2021-2022 OSIS Team

As the 2021–2022 academic year has come to an end, this also means that the 2021–2022 OSIS team will soon have to part ways. Throughout the year, the team has worked hard to host several events, such as the release of OSIS merchandise, the first Sekolah Ciputra Decathlon, Ciputra Cup 2K22, and the school mascot release! All the OSIS members have worked hard in their respective departments to make your journey through high school memorable.

Today an election will be held for the new Captain and Vice Captain for the 2022–2023 OSIS team, which will be followed by the forming of a new OSIS team under the guidance of a new OSIS coordinator, Mr. Sulton. But before that, the OSIS core team, department heads, and OSIS coordinator have each written farewell messages and some words for the next OSIS team, starting with the OSIS Coordinator, Mr. Rizal Rakhmat Dwianto’s message.

Becoming the OSIS Coordinator has been a great opportunity for me, which I’m very thankful for. It has opened up the possibility for me to work with many students from Sekolah Ciputra who are full of enthusiasm and creativity. This opportunity has also let me guide the students to be more responsible, collaborative, and hard-working, which, in my opinion, is a big responsibility for me to carry out. But at the end of the day, seeing them grow as new future leaders is what makes this experience and opportunity as OSIS Coordinator one of the happiest and most memorable moments in my life. I would like to congratulate everyone who took part in the 2021–2022 OSIS team, because all of you did a wonderful job despite all the ups and downs we encountered as a team. Good luck to everyone, and I hope next year’s OSIS will be as good or even better than this year’s OSIS team! - Mr. Rizal Rakhmat Dwianto, OSIS Coordinator

Throughout this year of OSIS, I have come to realize how interesting everyone is. While some of us are very different, we have collaborated successfully, even if there were a few bumpy roads. I would like to thank everyone so much for allowing me to be their captain (you had no choice). But working together as a team has successfully shown how great things can be achieved when one is working as a team. I’m sure everyone has gained something from being a part of this team this year. I am grateful and proud to have been able to witness and be a part of this year’s OSIS team. I wish the best of luck to the next OSIS team and hope for a successful year ahead! - Jefferson Tanto, OSIS Captain

It has been an honor to be a part of this year's OSIS team, working alongside such hard-workers. As this year’s OSIS vice captain, I have met and collaborated with a diverse group of characters, which have taught me how to persevere, collaborate, and communicate through hard situations. I am forever grateful for the opportunities and events created in our OSIS year, and it has been really admirable to witness projects through from conception to completion in each department. I wish the new and upcoming OSIS team a warm welcome and the best of luck on your new and thrilling adventures! - Aurysia Thea Evelynn Santoso, OSIS Vice Captain

In the blink of an eye, I've come to realize that my time with this year’s OSIS team has come to an end. I am extremely grateful to have been a part of this amazing team and satisfied by all the hard work that everyone in OSIS has shown. Being an OSIS secretary, I was able to cooperate with my counterparts to initiate events and overcome obstacles together. To the next OSIS team, I would like to say, be patient in all situations and do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Good luck! - Russell Liang, OSIS Secretary

OSIS. An organization that has taught me not only the importance of organizational, communication, and management skills, but also the ever-growing importance of teamwork and support among bilateral parties. My first and last year of OSIS as the secretary of the core team was beyond what I expected; no words would be able to express the surfeit of emotions I had throughout the past academic year. I am ever so grateful that I was able to work with the 2021-2022 OSIS Sekolah Ciputra team, facing both our ups and downs together. With this, I’d like to congratulate everyone for all their hard work! I hope the next OSIS team will learn to build better communication skills amongst one another and wish everyone the best in their future endeavors! - Wenny Wibisono, OSIS Secretary

I joined OSIS in 2021–2022 as a treasurer. The responsibilities that come with the position have taught me a lot about the importance of communication, attitude, and risk-taking. I am beyond fortunate and grateful to be a part of the 2021-2022 OSIS Sekolah Ciputra team. Being a treasurer not only requires great numerical skills but also collaboration with the other heads and members. I would like to wish this year’s OSIS the very best, with accomplishments and wisdom that could further make Sekolah Ciputra proud! - Nadya Suryo Soetomo, OSIS Treasurer

As a head of the Creative Management department, I have learnt many things. Personally, there were tons of challenges, mainly time management and organization. There were days when we, as heads, were rushed to get things done with maximum results. But as a big team, we understand that nobody is ever alone. Everyone got the help they needed whenever they reached out. Within the OSIS community, we make new, strong bonds with different people. From my experience, both members and heads have strong relationships where we can cheer each other up and help each other out during hectic situations, one of them being the Ciputra Cup 2022. Despite being one of the most hectic events where lots of things didn’t go our way, we were all able to overcome all the problems as a team. OSIS is a community full of help and support. Some days, being a part of OSIS isn't easy, but with teamwork, every problem, every obstacle can and will be overcome, and honestly, despite all the challenges faced throughout the experience, I think OSIS is worth a try. I hope next year’s OSIS will do better than the previous years and am looking forward to what next year’s OSIS will present. Good luck! - Cleo Allegra, Head of Creative Management

Joining this year's OSIS team has taught me a lot of important lessons like communication, teamwork, organization, and many more. As the head of the Creative Management Department, there were a lot of ups and downs along the way. We had issues with time management and coordinating well with the team. Despite all that, we managed to solve all our problems as long as we worked together. Being in the OSIS team, especially as the head of a department, we had a lot of responsibilities. At first, it was quite hard to get used to, but as time passed, we got the hang of it. It has been an honor to be a part of the OSIS team this year, and I wish the next OSIS team the very best! - Nicole Priscilla Yacob, Head of Creative Management

Becoming a part of the OSIS team is something that I am honored and beyond grateful for. The day I signed up to be a part of the Multimedia department, I wasn't aware of what was going to be ahead of me. Still, as time goes by, your sense of belonging grows, and your fellow members become family to you. Being in a pandemic wasn’t favorable for us, especially the multimedia department, since the offline events now have to be converted into videos. Knowing this, there was pressure, anxiety, fear of failing and not being good enough, and a mix of emotions to create and deliver the videos to the best of our abilities. That's when I realized the importance of teamwork, because being part of a community means having friends and teachers to guide and assist you through all the obstacles. At first, everything may appear difficult, but remember that even in the midst of darkness, light persists. For the next OSIS team, I wish you the best of luck and may all your endeavors be successful. Time is like a river, where you can never touch the same water twice, as the flow that has passed will never pass again. Cherish every moment, as they will soon become memories. - Patricius Stefan Muliyanto, Head of Multimedia

Self doubt was what I felt at first when signing up as the head of Multimedia in the 10th grade. Despite that, I still signed up and never regretted that decision up to this day. Joining this year’s OSIS has taught me a lot of valuable things: teamwork, patience, communication, responsibility, time management, being reflective, being understanding, and initiative. It definitely wasn’t an easy journey; not exactly sure if your members understand how to handle certain technical things, communicating with members during the pandemic and managing time between school work, the personal project and OSIS. Regardless, we went through it all together, as a team. My advice for next year’s OSIS is to never lose before you fight, and to always remember that we don’t grow when things are easy. OSIS is a place for everyone to learn and grow. I would like to thank this year’s OSIS team and wish the best of luck for next year’s OSIS! - Ferrari Hartono, Head of Multimedia

In the past academic year, I was extremely honored to have been the head of the Sports department. It has been really hectic, yet very fun. Honestly, it was quite hard to balance school and OSIS as a DP student, as there was lots of homework and assignments. Nevertheless, it was really fun to be a part of OSIS. I was able to form new friendship bonds within the OSIS team and learn new skills. I would like to say a special thank you to all the core team, especially to Russell Liang, one of the secretaries, for helping us through a lot. I would also like to thank Christo and all the OSIS members, especially those in the sports department. Wishing the next OSIS team all the best! - Devin Sentosa, Head of Sports

The past academic year has been very memorable for me, as it was my only year as a part of the OSIS team. Honestly, it was really hard all year long. The responsibilities that came with it were really big and I often needed to spend most of my free time working on OSIS-related work. However, I must say it was an incredible journey, as it helped me learn to work with new people in new environments. It was an experience that I will never forget and will never regret. It has been an honor to be a part of this year's incredible OSIS team. Best of luck to the next OSIS team and I hope you will do an even better job! - Christo Alexander Liman, Head of Sports

Joining OSIS was something new for me adding that this year’s OSIS was during the middle of a pandemic. It’s been great to work with these memorable people who I never met before. I learned a lot from different individuals that have different personalities. Yes, there were some ups and downs, but thankfully when you work as a team and collaborate, any problem can be solved easily. I learned that teamwork isn’t easy and needs practice so that we can work as a team and complete any projects given. Through every struggle that we encounter, there’s always something meaningful and useful for us, especially from all the events that we were able to host this year despite the pandemic. At the end of the day what comes must go, therefore I would like to say that I’m really thankful to have been a part of this year’s OSIS team. My wish for the next OSIS team is that they will get that feeling of happiness and even more. Wishing you the best of the best, thank you and good luck! - Elsa Nova Azzahro, Head of Events

Being a part of last year’s OSIS team as a head was quite challenging. The position came with lots of responsibilities and work. There were times when things got too overwhelming. Although we were often faced with numerous challenges, we were able to overcome all of them together as a team. Through OSIS, I learned many new skills and lessons. Unexpectedly, I was also able to form new friendships with people I never expected to talk to, and for that, I would say that this was definitely an experience to remember. It truly was an honor to work alongside all the other heads and members. I can’t wait to see what the next OSIS team has to offer and wish them all the best of luck! - Jillian Paige Bandrio, Head of Events

OSIS has always been a part of me; I was always interested in being part of the team since joining STUCO in elementary. Of course, joining OSIS as a head and as a senior in senior high school was going to be very challenging. I knew that the burden and workload was going to be quite heavy, as I also had DP work to complete. The year was a rocky road throughout, with us having to face several ups and downs. Even so, I got to meet new people: other heads, members, teachers, and guests. One of the most valuable skills that I have learnt in OSIS is to learn to be open minded towards different ideas and thoughts. Other than that, working collaboratively with my fellow heads and other members was a great experience for me. Those experiences really helped me form a great bond between my fellow teammates. Overall, I'm thankful for all of the opportunities and experiences that OSIS has presented me with. I wish the next generation of the OSIS team all the best of luck and would like to say, never forget to have fun! - Chris Owen Setioko, Head of Events

As a head of the Internal Events department, there were a lot of challenges faced in the past year. During the start of the 2021-2022 academic year, I was faced with the challenge of working with new people from different classes and grade levels. The need to adapt to the new situation and also to overcome sudden challenges is very important, which is why it is important that the next OSIS Internal Events department has to work together as a team and provide help to your fellow members when needed. I sincerely hope the next OSIS team will be able to cooperate well to overcome all challenges they might face and will have fun as a team. Good luck! - Bradley Nathaniel Wijaya, Head of Internal Events

As one of the handful of heads in this year's OSIS team, I am extremely grateful to have been a part of this team. Due to the pandemic, there was a lot of uncertainty during the past academic year. It was difficult to work together as a team through Google Meet. This year, I’ve learned that a team can face different problems, yet everything can be solved together when the team members work together. I hope next year’s OSIS team will be able to work together well and wish everyone all the very best! - Michael Ken Tansa, Head of Internal Events

As a head of the External Events Dept. (a.k.a the best events dept) I can conclude that OSIS has definitely been an important part of my academic school year. At first, I was greeted with nerves that I have never had before. I was presented with this huge responsibility of being an OSIS head and the work that comes with it. But as the year goes by, I start to realize that OSIS is also about having fun and building strong relationships with my fellow members. With this, organizing events and doing tasks start to become a lot easier. Even though there were a few bumps here and there, we were able to overcome those obstacles together. I am really thankful for my experience in OSIS and I wish the next OSIS team goodluck! - Victoria Pramoko, Head of External Events

Team work, perseverance, and responsibilities are just several words out of the infinite words that I could describe about my journey with OSIS. With that being said, joining this year’s OSIS was something that I’ve never experienced but have always wanted to participate in. I was chosen as one of the heads of the External Events department. Throughout my journey in OSIS, I have learned that we need to have good social and communication skills not only with my fellow head, but also with my members and the rest of the OSIS team. Apart from that, I learned how to become a better leader and to work under pressure. Lastly, I hope that the next OSIS External Events department will persevere in the same way, but better! Best of luck! - Nabil Fahimi, Head of External Events

As a head of the Public Relations department, a lot of ups and downs were encountered, but as time goes on, teamwork is considered as something that is compulsory to have to be able to solve any challenge available. Being a team means helping each other and showing initiative to support one another. Best of luck to the next OSIS team! - Felice Agnes Sentosa, Head of Public Relations

As time goes on with being a head of the Public Relations department, I’m starting to realize that PR doesn’t stand for Public Relations, but it stands for Permanent Residence due to the amount of things needed to be accomplished. All jokes aside though, being a head for this year’s Public Relations department has taught me a lot of things from teamwork, time-management, public speaking and to be a good role model for the younger ones. Though it’s difficult at the start, when everything is organized properly, the department will run well. I hope that the next OSIS Public Relations department can share more insightful and interesting articles to the Sekolah Ciputra community and make a big difference through their given platforms. Thank you and good luck to the next OSIS team! - Michael Sean Gunawan, Head of Public Relations

Being a Fundraising head has been one of the best yet hardest challenges I faced during the 2021-2022 academic year. The responsibility of a head could be pressuring at times but it teaches us to be more open-minded, balanced and willing to take risks which is very worth it as it prepares us for things outside OSIS. I worked well with my co-head alongside our members to design, produce, launch and sell the school merchandise, sell tickets for the Ciputra Cup, help with the introduction of the new school mascots and many more! From my experience, I learned so much on how to become a good leader, collaborate with peers and a lot of valuable skills that are used in a real world setting such as communicating and selling to people, marketing strategies and working collaboratively with others! Being a part of the fundraising team is such a great opportunity to learn the business aspects of things and the behind the scenes of what it takes to produce and sell a product. It is also an awesome learning experience for anyone (especially those who want to take business as their major in the future!) Advice I would give to newcomers is, yes, it's a lot of work and can be stressful at times, but know that everyone around you is there to support you and are willing to help when needed! Thank you to all the current heads and members for all your hard work! It was a pleasure working with you all! Good luck to the next OSIS team and I wish you guys all the very best! - Angelina Anna Hanjaya, Head of Fundraising

As one of the heads of the Fundraising team in OSIS 2021-2022, I have learned to become a strong-willed person with great initiative and determination. Throughout the turbulence and quite immense workload, I learned to persevere and understand the essentiality of teamwork in order to complete my work. I also obtained valuable leadership skills, as I experienced first-hand what it feels like to lead a team and work together with my members. I am grateful for all the events and activities that the Fundraising team had the opportunity to hold, such as the merchandise, Ciputra Cup ticket administration, and more. I was able to earn beneficial life-long skills that I will undoubtedly use again in the future, such as the technicalities of business and marketing. I’m grateful to have worked alongside my co-head and members, who’ve made my experience in the OSIS team enjoyable. Overall, I’m happy to have had the opportunity of being a head this year, and wish the best of luck to anyone after me! - Cheryl Loemantoro, Head of Fundraising

Being that this is my first and last year of joining OSIS, I am feeling a plethora of emotions, both bad and good. Originally, I thought being a head only involved the heavy burden of responsibility, or in other words, something not to be thought of as "fun". However, as time progressed and many fundraisers were held, I quickly discovered how exciting it was to organize the events themselves and collaborate with my department. Aside from the conventional leadership and cooperation skills gained from joining OSIS, I was also able to develop new and unexpected friendships all while trying to tackle the numerous challenges we had to face. Nonetheless, my only regret is not joining OSIS earlier, something I hope you will all choose to consider! Best wishes and good luck! - Ryan David Kosasih Lee, Head of Support

Joining this organization taught me a wide range of positive life lessons: friendship, understanding, communication, kindness and unity. Being a part of this welcoming and collaborative community made my responsibility as the Head of the Support team not only bearable, but novel and enlightening; the experience that made me realize this the most was planning the fundraisers with my fellow heads and members. Being a part of this team also made me realize that being a leader isn’t only about giving people orders, but also interacting with and listening to your members to ensure cohesion and efficiency as an organization. All in all, it was a memorable experience and I wish the next OSIS team all the best! - Qimiwa Njoto, Head of Support

The 2021-2022 OSIS team is extremely grateful to all the parents, students, and teachers who have supported the team and its events. We are honored to have been able to serve as last year’s OSIS team, and hope that everyone has enjoyed all the OSIS events as we have. We sincerely apologize for any mistakes or faults we have made. As we will soon be handing over our duties to the 2022-2023 OSIS team, we can’t wait to see what they will come up with. Good luck!
